MEDICAL STAFFING NETWORK / infographics - 2012-2014
Medical Staffing Network is one of the largest providers of temporary nursing jobs in the country. Over 40,000 healthcare professionals have used MSN to find positions in more than 7,500 facilities in the United States. As part of my work at the Cubicle Ninjas design agency, I’ve worked on close to one hundred projects for MSN, ranging from print pieces and brochures to infographics and trade show signage.
When Medical Staffing Network decided to update their brand guidelines and update much of their print collateral, I began by implementing a visual swoosh motif conveying a sense of motion and reinforcing MSN’s position as a company that prides itself on its view towards the future while building on a foundation of what’s come before. The colors and shape of the swoosh reflect the arched component of Medical Staffing Network’s logo, and the swoosh motif offers a range of visual possibilities for image backgrounds, textural elements, and layered compositions, while maintaining a connection to the larger MSN brand.
MSN has given me a lot of creative freedom in terms of designing a semi-regular series of highly illustrative infographics, each focusing on important nursing trends and topics, including safety in the workplace, school nursing, and the future of the pharmacological workforce. MSN’s brand is highly flexible, allowing me to create whimsical scenes and iconic treatments within each infographic in order to tell the full story.
