GUERILLA TRUCK SHOW / event poster and postcard - 2013

Guerilla Truck Show papercraft truck design

In the summer of 2013, Jessica Calek and I took part in the tenth annual Guerilla Truck Show in Chicago, in which independent designers, artists, and galleries each curate the back of a truck in a kind of “rebuttal” to the more organized Neo-Con design convention taking place in the nearby Merchandise Mart.

Our truck consisted of three parts: a small variation of the Modular22 installation, a lighting installation designed and constructed by Jessica, and a display of about 250 pages of my retrospective book, Work in and Out of Context. To promote our truck, I printed a run of posters, which were each stenciled with neon orange spray paint, and I put together a promotional postcard that, once cut apart, could be folded into a papercraft Streeting Design truck, complete with action figures of Jessica, Max, and myself.
